One question every photographer gets is "What kind of camera do you use?" so I've decided that I was going to share the gear I use on most occasions. I'll probably miss one or two things but I'll stick to what I use on a regular basis.
I think it might be best to start with my camera. I currently am shooting with a Sony a6000 mirrorless camera. I've been using it for almost two years. Prior to that, I was using a Nikon D7100 DSLR camera. I made the jump over to Sony after trying it out and deciding that it was the right move for me. Maybe in the future I will make a list of WHY I switched from Nikon to Sony but that'll come later.
If I had to pick my favourite lens, it would be my Sony FE85mm f1.8 prime lens. It's definitely my most sharp lens but also gives me a great depth of field on my APS-C camera, especially when shooting at f1.8. My second lens would be my Sony SEL 50mm f1.8 lens. My favourite lens with the Nikon was my 50mm f1.8 lens so it was a no-brainer to go out and get the Sony equivalent to add to my arsenal. I also have a Sony 16mm f2.8 lens, but it's not very often i use this lens unless I'm going for an incredibly wide frame.
I exclusively use off camera lighting in various forms. Typically I use Godox branded flashes, ranging from a AD600 and the AD200 to a single Rotolight Neo LED light. Different situations call for different lighting and different modifiers. I have a collection of various sizes/styles of modifiers ranging from strip boxes, octobox, pop up square soft box to a beauty dish.
